With the retreat taking place October 12-14th, there will only be a joint bi-lingual worship service at church at 9:30AM on October 13th. There will be NO 8AM or 11AM English Services, NO English Sunday Schools at 9:30am, and NO nursery and children’s programs either. Weekly Monday meetings have resumed. The Thursday morning Moms Encouraging Moms (MEM) Bible study group is now open to all women, college age and up! Our new name is “Adorned.” Adorned will meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 10:00am-12noon at SFBC. We will be studying the Bible and/or going through various Christian books, with the desire to encourage women to be adorned with “the imperishable beauty” that is “precious in the sight of God” (1 Peter 3:3-4). It’s back-to-school shopping season and a great time to stock up on school supplies to fill the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes! If you want to donate supplies (no liquid glue & other liquid filled items) for these shoeboxes, collection bins will be available in the worship hall lobby in the month of August to receive your donations. Our Fellowship groups will use your donations when they pack the shoeboxes. (Note: filled shoeboxes will only be collected in November.) Samantha, Stan and Sandy Leong’s daughter, will be part of a Grace Church STM team going to Malawi this summer to support the Ayres missionaries and the CAPA ministry.
