Close Knit Circle (Women)


Description

Ladies who desire to knit or crochet together for fellowship and for outreach ministry, meet weekly for two hour sessions. Each meeting ends with a devotion and prayer.

Vision/Purpose

The primary purpose is to develop and deepen our friendships within the SFBC church family. Two secondary purposes are to use knitting as a vehicle to develop friendships with other believers from other churches and to develop friendships with non-believers in a non-church setting.

Goals

  • Knit at least 30 hats to give, along with a tract, to babies born with congenital heart disease at the UCSF Hospital.
  • Knit assortment of 30+ items to keep senior residents warm at On Lok facility in SF.
  • Begin a shawl/blanket ministry for SFBC church family who need to be in the hospital because of illness or surgery.

Target Audience

Ladies, all ages, who want to use their knitting skills as a ministry to one another and to reach out to unbelievers.

Meeting Time & Location*

Thursdays, 6:30 – 8:30pm., rotate between Richmond District and Sunset District.
